1. For your final project, your directions were to choose one of three portrait styles, (Mark-Making, Low-Poly, or Vector) and digitally "weave" it with the original photo. What style did you choose and why?
-I chose to do the low-poly style because during the year, I enjoyed doing this project the most. Also. I love how the triangles makes the portrait look.
2. What tools did you primarily use for this project?
-For the low-poly, I primarily used the polygonal lasso tool to select the triangles and the action tool to choose a color that is accurate to the original photo. For the weave, I primarily used the rectangular marque tool to select the strips. Then I used the gradient tool to create a cool effect on each strip to make the "over-under" effect more prominent.
3. What were some of the challenges you faced during this project?
-Some challenges I faced while doing the low-poly was getting the hair to go in the correct direction so it would actually look like hair. For the weave, a challenge I faced was deciding how to space out my strips in order to make it look the best.
4. In some cases, weaving two portraits together can be challenging because major details, like facial features, can become confusing or even lost in the process. Was this a challenge for you? Do you think you were successful with your weave technique? Why?
-It was a challenge to make sure his lips were still shown; however, in the end, I managed to show most of his lips, in color. I think I was successful because I made sure his main facial features were left in color, to make it stand out, such as his eyes.
