1. As the artist of these pieces, what was your main objective?
-My main objective was to use stamps to recreate a portrait of my friend and I.
2. What tools did we primarily use for this project?
-For this project, I primarily used the rectangle marquee tool to select all colors that were similar to each other. Then, I used the text tool in order to make my brushes. I mostly used the brush tool to "paint" my picture.
3. What were some of the challenges you faced during this project?
-A challenge I faced were getting the words to show while still being able to fill in all of the white spaces.
4. One of the requirements of this project was to make a custom paintbrush. How did you accomplish this and what kind of brushes did you make?
-I accomplished this by using the text tool to type my four brushes and then I rasteurized the text. After, for each word, I selected it with the rectangle marquee tool and defined the brush preset. After using the define brush preset, my brushes were created. My brushes consisted of words and numbers: best, friends, forever, and 12.16.
5.An important requirement for this project was about defining your values. Making sure each value does not blend with the others. There are multiple ways to go about this. How did you accomplish this?
-I accomplished this by making sure I used accurate values based on the picture. If it was still blended together, I went on each layer and used levels (control L) to make the values more defined.
