Brad Pitt Photo Retouch

1. As the artist of this piece, what was your main objective?

-My main objective was to make Brad Pitt look much younger and to clean his face up while still maintaining a natural look.

1. What tools did we primarily use for this project?

-For this project, I primarily used the spot healing brush. I occasionally used the paint tool to fix the hair and the patch tool to get rid of the beard.

1. What were some of the challenges you faced during this project?

-Some challenges I faced while doing this project was getting rid of his mustache and beard. This was a challenge because getting rid of the mustache would often make that area look stretched and unnatural. In addition, the beard was a challenge because it was very difficult to eliminate the beard without the chin blending into the neck.

1. Do you feel that there should be a warning placed on retouched images that are used for advertising? Why or why not? -Yes, I do believe there should be a warning placed on retouched images because when there is not, it creates a very high expectation that many will try to compare to. For example, when seeing retouched models, it makes people think that they have to be skinny or have perfect skin; however, in reality, the model isn't that perfect.
